1. Data Collection and Authentication
At Konsiguelo, we collect the necessary information to effectively connect users and local businesses. When you register using your email and password or via Google Sign-In, we collect basic profile data (such as your name and email address). We do not sell or share your personal data with unaffiliated third parties without your explicit consent.
2. Device Permissions and Usage
To provide our core features, the app requests access to certain device capabilities. We request 'Location' permissions to show you the closest businesses and products (our hyperlocal essence). We request 'Gallery/Camera' access solely to allow business owners to upload photos for their digital catalogs. We also request 'Storage' access to temporarily cache data (such as base64 QR codes) to facilitate sharing. You have full control over these permissions in your device settings.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
We use trusted third-party services to ensure app stability and performance. We use Google Firebase (including Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications, and Remote Config) to understand how users interact with our platform and to detect technical errors. We also use ExchangeRate-API for accurate currency conversions. These third parties may collect anonymous usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. Communications and Marketing
We use your contact information to send essential service updates, account notifications, and security alerts. In the future, we may also use your email to send promotional materials, newsletters, or offers related to Konsiguelo. You will always have the right to opt-out or unsubscribe from any marketing communications.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and personal data at any time. Once a deletion request is submitted, our team will process it within a maximum of 15 business days. Upon processing, all your personal data, catalogs, and preferences are immediately and permanently deleted from our active servers.
6. Information Security
We implement enterprise-level technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our environment uses secure authentication and encrypted protocols for transmitting sensitive data.
7. Children's Privacy
Konsiguelo is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our systems.
